Grooving into summer...

Hey everyone! Hope you're doing fine and dandy! It feels like forever since the last time I wrote...

The past few months have been extremely busy for Luv2Groove. We have ventured out into other parts of Ontario including workshops in Toronto and Missisauga. We've had the pleasure of having Marcelino DaCosta (a.k.a Frost Flow) teach L2G workshops for us in those areas.  We look forward to continuing to branch out to other parts of Canada bringing our method of dance/fitness/fun to schools all over!

On our way to doing so, Raul and I have been taking workshops and getting certified in Zumba and Zumbatomic for kids!

We're super excited to be adding this great program to our list of Luv2Groove workshops! In addition to teaching workshops in schools, we often teach for fundraising events, school dances, fairs, birthday parties and more.

On April 26th, after Mr. Yves spent two weeks teaching the entire staff and students at Stonecrest PS, we were asked to animate/deejay their family school dance again for our second year in a row! It was a hit and we had an absolute blast! Check out the pictures and video I put together of this memorable evening of F.U.N!

Furthermore, over the last few months we have been celebrating birthday parties all over Ottawa and surrounding areas! Bringing dance parties to kids everywhere! Check out these awesome pictures...

Here's a video of the my nephew Alistair's 6th birthday party with Luv2Groove!

LUV2GROOVE GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY!

We believe in giving back to the community that continues to support the work we do. We are constantly reminded everyday of how blessed we are to work with youth, but also to do teach what we love everyday! Thank you to everyone who believes in our work, we could not have done it with you. It is our goal to bring Luv2Groove to schools and communities everywhere.

That being said, each year we donate FREE workshops to schools/communities in the area including FREE summer camp to kids who may not have the opportunity to go to camp otherwise. Some schools we've donated workshops too this year include: Kemptville PS, Greely PS, NorthGower PS, Queen Mary PS, Kanata Academy, Katimavik PS, Bridle Community ES, Manor Park PS, D. Roy Kennedy, Elign St. PS, W. Erskin PS and Connaught PS.

Last weekend we taught a FREE workshop at the Manotick PS spring fair!

June 1st I danced at the Morrisburg Skating Club fundraiser! I had a great time dancing with all the kids...they even let me try face painting out!

In addition, since April I have been rehearsing once, sometimes twice a week with 120 amateur dancers from Ottawa! We are preparing to perform a half hour show by Montreal choreographer Sylvain Émard "Le Grand Continental". We will perform this piece on June 15th and 16th in front of the Spider on Sussex in front of the National Art Gallery. Here are the times of the show:
June 15th- 2pm
June 16th- 2pm & 4pm
Don't miss it, this is definitely something Ottawa has never seen before!

Also, we will be starting a weekly community class on July 2nd, if you'd like to subscribe to our newsletter, please click on the link below:

And last but not least, starting July 2nd we kick off 6 weeks of summer camps in Greely, Gloucester, Barrhaven, Sittsville, Kempvtille and Rockcliffe! We cannot wait....don't forget to register your kids asap, spots are limited!

Until next time, thank you for taking the time to follow us and read this post! We appreciate it! Don't forget to feel the groove...

One Luv.
